Enhancing Your Experience at Potomac Psychiatry

We are excited to announce a significant upgrade in our services at Potomac Psychiatry that will enhance your experience and streamline our processes for improved care delivery. On June 10th, 2024, we will be launching a new Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system called AdvancedMD along with several additional features aimed at making your interactions with us more convenient and efficient.

Improvements you can expect:

• Enhanced Efficiency: The new system is designed to optimize our workflows, allowing us to serve you better and more promptly.
• Online Scheduling: In the weeks after the initial launch of our new EMR system, you'll gain access to our convenient online appointment booking feature. This aims to offer you flexibility in selecting appointment times and to reduce excessive communication.
• Recall Reminders: Automated reminders to inform you when a follow-up appointment is needed.
• Improved Patient Portal: Our upgraded patient portal will facilitate better communication between you and our team. You'll have access to your reviewed test results, the ability request prescription refills, view upcoming appointments, pay an outstanding bill, view patient forms, and the ability to securely message our administrative team with any questions. • Integrating telehealth appointments into the EMR’s Zoom platform for simplified accessibility.
  • Please note that we will no longer be using doxy.me for telehealth appointments as of June 10^th.
  • Appointment reminders will include a direct link to your Zoom telehealth appointment.

As with any significant change, there may be challenges along the way. We ask for your patience and understanding as we work through any initial adjustments. You can trust that your medical records are in safe hands as we've partnered with a leading company with over two decades of expertise to oversee the transfer of all clinical data.

During this transition, there may be a few items we need to collect again to ensure that your information remains secure, such as updated credit card information, as this is something we cannot transition to the new system for security reasons.
