Barbara Kehr <link to Barbara Kehr’s bio> works with clients who face challenging issues during all phases of separation, divorce, and life following a divorce; and provides counseling and therapy to clients facing other legal challenges.

What is a Psychiatric Expert Witness?
Psychiatrists are often called upon to be expert witnesses in both criminal and civil proceedings. Expert witnesses give their expert opinion about a specific issue.  Their expertise is sought in an effort to provide the best possible information to judges or juries, and attorneys or other parties may also request consultation. A psychiatric expert may be involved in diagnosing and treating clients who have sustained a traumatic brain injury due to an automobile accident or workplace injury, experienced a traumatic event leading to post-traumatic stress disorder, and various issues surrounding marital separation and divorce including child custody evaluations.
